The Performing Arts Dance Academy at Gloucester County Institute of Technology offers conservatory dance training while offering students a comprehensive college preparatory high school experience.
The dance curriculum, winner of the Governor’s Award, is heavily centered on the technical training of the student in ballet, modern and jazz.
At Hudson County's High Tech High School, the performing arts program plays a crucial role in bringing students, parents, faculty and staff together to work as a team.
A performance in the school's unique "black box" theater touches students across many career areas.
In addition to showcasing singers, dancers, actors, musicians and other performers during a production, constuction arts students build the sets; costumes are designed and sewn by fashion design students; cosmetology students get a chance to show off their stage make-up skills and graphic design students create show bills.
