District Highlights
Through a shared-time arrangement with the sending schools, Hunterdon County Polytech offers 19 programs, all of which include a mentoring/internship component.
Hunterdon County Polytech prides itself on the work we do with business professionals to make sure our programs are relevant. We teach the skills that are valuable to the professional community. We make sure our environment is safe for learning and practicing the personal values and technical skills that help our graduates thrive in today’s dynamic workplace. Through our mentoring and internship programs, students receive experience in applying their skills to accomplish real tasks in a real work environment.
The district operates a full-preschool and kindergarten program in conjunction with its school of teaching professionals. An extensive customized training program serves the needs of businesses in the county. Our marketing education program has received state and national recognition for the program it developed with Rotary International.
Students have the opportunity to acquire nationally recognized certifications such as A+, MOUS, ASE and earn college credits through articulated programming with several two- and four- year colleges.
Looking Ahead
In September 2006, Polytech will open a new facility for a construction trades technology program and a new state-of-the-art facility for culinary arts.
Other Polytech programs will move into a new modern facility utilizing the career cluster approach.
