District Highlights

The Hudson County Schools of Technology provide a state-of-the-art learning facility with multiple locations serving a diverse student population throughout Hudson County. Our technology resources far exceed those of other school districts and we currently boast an almost 2:1 computer-to-student ratio.

The district is comprised of two award-winning high school programs, High Tech High School (two-time Star School) and County Prep High School. The County Prep students have received many awards including recognition by the College Board’s National Hispanic Program. The district also has two alternative high school programs, KAS Prep in North Bergen and the Career Academy in Jersey City. They have realized tremendous success in helping students who otherwise might not have succeeded in a traditional high school environment.

Explore 2000, a middle school program, is a technology-rich learning environment where students are empowered to direct their own learning experience. We also provide educational services to the county Juvenile Detention Center in Secaucus. The Hudson eSchool was developed in response to the demand for choice and flexibility in public education. Since Hudson eSchool classes are web-based, students can satisfy their high school requirements at anytime from anywhere. All courses are aligned with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards and are taught by state certified instructors fully trained in online instruction.

The Adult High School is the largest in the state and provides prepatory training and retraining for unemployed and underemployed. We provide supplemental training to update and improve the knowledge and skills of our adult students.
