Around Our Schools

Through their innovative partnership with Passaic County Technical Institute, Columbia Bank operates a full service branch — and living classroom — in the school lobby. The bank is operated by students of the Academy of Finance and supervised by a bank official. This nationally-recognized, award-winning program provides hands-on learning opportunities for high school students interested in the world of finance, while also fostering financial literacy among the entire 2,300 student population.

The Business Management Career Academy at Warren County Technical School offers practical, yet challenging electives that build a broad background in business administration. Students gain experience with project management software and digital collaborative work tools for problem solving. They also develop awareness of multiculturalism and its impact on business situations. Seniors are taught by Warren County Community College instructors.

Mercer County Technical Schools

Mercer County Technical School and Mercer County Community College partner to offer a one-year program for high school seniors offering courses -- and college credit -- in areas such as customer behavior, customer service, business letter and report writing.

Recognizing the global nature of today's economy, Morris County Schools of Technology offers a highly-specialized program in finance and international business. Students with specific interest in international trade, marketing and management participate in an international business practice firm, a simulated business that mirrors the real world. Linked by technology, the student firm conducts all operations necessary to run a business in a global marketplace.
